Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Now Upgraded to Counter-Strike 2

Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) is the latest version of the famous Counter-Strike series, now powered by the enhanced Source 2 engine. With this update, all skins and in-game items have shifted from CS:GO to CS2, meaning the two games are no longer compatible on servers.

How to Access CS:GO on Steam After CS2 Release:

  1. Open Steam and go to your Library.
  2. Find Counter-Strike 2 in your library and right-click on it.
  3. Select "Properties" from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the Properties window, go to the "Betas" tab.
  5. Choose the beta branch labeled "csgo_legacy (Legacy Version of CSGO)" from the dropdown menu.

By applying these settings, you can now access Counter-Strike: Global Offensive through Steam. This enables you to play on community or unofficial CS:GO servers, or explore CS2 servers to experience the new Source 2 version.
